We have a complete range of glass plates, which are used worldwide for safe process observation. Our VETROLUX® glass plates meet the highest quality standards – according to our quality commitment “Swiss Excellence – Since 1936”.

Glass plates are a safety-relevant component of most sight glasses. The use and replacement of glass plates are regulated in the relevant DIN standards.

The choice of a high-quality glass plate ensures work and process safety. When choosing a VETROLUX® glass plate, the traceability of the material is guaranteed and the glass plate is supplied with compliant certificates.

Requirements

Our portfolio consists of two product series that cover all common requirements. Here is an overview of the possibilities:

Versions/ product series:

VETROLUX® C: Circular glass plates
VETROLUX® L: Oblong glass plates
Sizes/ application:

Application: For all sight glasses (incl. wipers and motorized wipers)
Nominal sizes: DN 25 to DN 200
Dimensions of circular glass plates (diameter x thickness): From ⌀45 x 10 mm to ⌀265 x 30 mm
Dimensions of oblong glass plates (length x width): From 140 x 17 mm to 745 x 70 mm
Maximum operating pressure: From 2 bar to 50 bar and vacuum
Maximum operating temperature: 150°C or 280°C (depending on the glass plate), without limitation in the low temperature range
Materials/ product types:

Materials: Soda lime/ DIN 8902 (up to 150°C), borosilicate/ DIN 7080 (up to 280°C) (others on request)
Central bore holes: With or without hole for wiper
Special tests:

Hydraulic pressure test
Mechanical impact test
